Claiborne CTE students earn national awards

Jan Runions | Claiborne Progress

Three Claiborne High Career and Technical Education (CTE) students were recognized during the August school board meeting. All three earned first or second place as national winners recently, during competitions in SkillsUSA and FCCLA. Carla Cinniamon, on the left, and model Bethany Butcher, center, won first place in the SkillsUSA Job Skill Demonstration Open for cosmetology. Michelle McGeorge, on the right, earned second place during the Career Investigation portion of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America competition.
