Judge Robert Estep approved several plea agreements during recent hearings in Claiborne Sessions Court, including one for David Cornelius Jones, 29, charged with domestic assault and theft under $500.
Jones was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 17 days confinement (credit for 17 days jail time already served). He must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines, $675 in restitution to his victim and forfeits $150 to the Economic Crime Fund. Jones must complete a Batterer’s Intervention Program. He is eligible for unsupervised probation once all monetary obligations are met and is found fully compliant.
Monica Perkins, 39, charged with assault, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with seven days confinement (credit for seven days jail time already served). Perkins must pay at least $75 per month in court costs and fines and must complete a drug course through probation.
Edward A. Scarlett, 38, charged with criminal trespassing and theft under $500, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days TDOC supervised probation. Scarlett must pay at least $75 in court costs and fines and forfeits $75 to the Economic Crime Fund. He is barred from the Walmart property. This sentence runs concurrently with a criminal court case.
Tyler S. Hatmaker, 27, charged with criminal impersonation, was sentenced to 25 hours of community service. Hatmaker must continue his participation with a mental health facility and continue with his prescription medication schedule. Court costs will be determined during a review hearing on March 24. Hatmaker may qualify for waiving of his costs if found fully compliant.
Jonathan Rodriguez de Leon, 19, charged with driving under the influence, evading arrest and violation of the financial responsibility law, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with ten days confinement (credit for two days jail time already served). De Leon must pay at least $100 per month in court costs. His driver’s license is revoked for one year.
Justin Nicholas Hallen, 34, charged with driving under the influence, possession of a schedule VI drugs and violation of the financial responsibility law, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with eight days confinement (credit for eight days jail time already served). Hallen must pay at least $150 per month in court costs and fines and must complete a MADD Victim Impact Panel. His driver’s license is revoked per the Dept. of Safety. This case runs concurrently with prior ones.
Jane Winkler, 63, charged with driving under the influence and driving on a revoked license, was sentenced to two years ETHRA supervised probation with two days confinement (credit for any jail time already served). Winkler must pay at least $75 per month in court costs and fines and complete a MADD Victim Impact Panel. Her driver’s license is revoked for one year. Winkler is eligible for unsupervised probation once all monetary obligations are met.
William B. Harrell, 28, charged with driving under the influence, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 30 days confinement (credit for 15 days jail time already served). Harrell must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines and must complete a MADD Victim Impact Panel. His driver’s license is revoked for one year. Harrell may be returned to Union County to serve the remainder of his confinement and probation supervision. This case runs concurrently with prior ones.
Leonard Epperson, 62, charged with driving under the influence, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days confinement with credit for 11 months, 29 days jail time already served. Epperson was given credit for time served inside a federal penitentiary from Sept. 17. 2014 to July 24. His driver’s license is revoked for one year.
Elizabeth LeeAnn Oestrick, 30, charged with reckless driving, was sentenced to six months unsupervised probation with ten days confinement (credit for one day jail time already served). As a condition of her probationary status, Oestrick must pay all monetary obligations in full by a review hearing date of March 22.
Robert Eugene Jones, 22, charged with reckless driving, was sentenced to six months unsupervised probation. As a condition of his probationary status, Jones must pay all monetary obligations in full by a review hearing date of March 24.
Gary Joe Davis, 64, charged with reckless driving, was sentenced to four days confinement (credit for eight hours jail time already served). A probation hearing in this case is set for Feb. 19. Davis is subject to the rules of probation pending the hearing. He must pay all court costs and fines in full prior to the hearing date.
Anthony Jennings, 27, charged with reckless driving, was sentenced to six months unsupervised probation with four days confinement (credit for 11 hours jail time already served). As a condition of his probationary status, Jennings must pay all court costs and fines in full prior to a hearing on Feb. 19.
Joseph Trevor Barton, 23, charged with vandalism under $500, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days TDOC supervised probation with 30 days confinement. Barton must pay at least $150 per month in court costs and fines beginning 30 days after release from confinement. He must pay $150 in restitution to the Claiborne County Jail. This sentence runs concurrently with prior ones.
Martin E. Amburn, 33, charged with theft under $500, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days confinement with credit for any jail time already served. Amburn must pay $1,000 in restitution to his victim. He is severally and jointly liable in this case with his co-defendants. This sentence runs concurrently with prior ones.
Meredith L. Robinson, 22, charged with simple possession of marijuana, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with three days confinement (credit for jail time already served. Robinson must pay at least $75 per month in court costs and fines. She is relieved from completing an Alcohol and Drug assessment if she has already done so through the Dept. of Children’s Services.
