Arrests have been made in two Claiborne County burglary cases.
Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department officers were notified of an aggravated burglary on Ferguson Ridge Road on May 15.
According to CCSD Det. Josh Russell, two male subjects made forced entry into the home taking several items from inside the residence valued over $10,000, along with an ATV that was located outside the residence.
“Some of the items taken from the residence were located in Knoxville at E-Z Pawn on Magnolia Ave.,” said Russell. “Upon speaking with the victims those items were positively identified and recovered.”
After following up on leads, Dylan Dewayne Williams, 21, of New Tazewell and Billy Rawls, of New Tazewell, were both charged with aggravated burglary and theft over $10,000.
In addition, Williams was also allegedly involved in another aggravated burglary involving a firearm and stolen items from a residence located in the city of New Tazewell. That case is being investigated by Det. Gary Ruszkowski with the New Tazewell Police Department.
Both Williams and Rawls are currently incarcerated in Union County Jail on similar charges and are awaiting transport to Claiborne County.
