Estep processes VOPs

Judge Robert Estep processed several violations of probation cases during recent hearings in Claiborne Sessions Court.

Farron Dawn Baker, 28, racked up new charges for driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license and violation of the child restraint law while on probation. The charge was reduced during sentencing to the one count of driving under the influence. Baker was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days at 75 percent confinement. She was given credit for any jail time already served. Her driver’s license is revoked for one year.

Jackie Ramsey, 21, charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings and nonpayment of court costs and supervision fees while on probation, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days at 75 percent confinement. Ramsey was given credit for any jail time already served.

Rodney Walker, 29, was initially charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings, to complete an alcohol and drug assessment, to complete a MADD Victim Impact Panel and nonpayment of court costs, fines and supervision fees. Walker was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication while on probation. He was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months 29 days at 75 percent confinement and given credit for any jail time already served on this case. During the hearing, Judge Estep dismissed the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shaun Ellis, 34, charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings, to complete an alcohol and drug assessment and nonpayment of court costs and supervision fees while on probation, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days at 75 percent confinement.

Christie L. Leach, 26, charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings and nonpayment of court costs, fines and supervision fees while on probation, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days at 75 percent confinement. Leach was given credit for any jail time already served.

Brian Timothy Elliott, 40, initially charged with possession of a schedule III controlled substance, driving on a suspended license and failure to yield right of way while on probation, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days at 75 percent confinement. Elliott was given credit for any jail time already served. This case runs concurrently with an existing criminal court case in which Elliott was sentenced to two years.

Justin Hollen, 35, charged with failing a drug screening for amphetamines, methamphetamines, Oxycodone, Benzodiazepine and Suboxone while on probation, was sentenced to 90 days confinement and ordered to remain on supervised probation for the remainder of his initial 11 months, 29 days sentence. Hollen is eligible for transfer to an inpatient rehabilitation program in lieu of part of his sentence. Upon successful completion of the treatment, Hollen will return to supervision. This case runs concurrently with one in Union County.

Timothy Conard Jr., 32, initially charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings, to complete an alcohol and drug assessment and nonpayment of court costs and supervision fees while on probation, was sentenced to 30 days confinement with an additional 11 months, 29 days supervised probation. Pending confirmation of service in Knox County, Conard will be given credit for 22 days jail time already served. Within 30 days of release from confinement, he must pay at least $200 per month toward costs and fines.

Felicia Jordan, 23, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia while on probation, was sentenced to 30 days confinement with 11 months, 29 days supervised probation. Jordan was given credit for ten days jail time already served. She must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and supervision fees beginning June 23. Jordan was initially charged last July with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings, to complete an alcohol and drug assessment and nonpayment of court costs and supervision fees while on probation.

Juan E. Raygoza, 43, charged in two cases with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings, to complete an alcohol and drug assessment, nonpayment of court costs and supervision fees and driving on a suspended license while on probation, was sentenced to 20 days confinement and a total 11 months, 29 days supervised probation. Raygoza was given credit for six days jail time already served.
