Former Claiborne Bulldogs football player Skylar Kearney just completed the Walters State Regional Law Enforcement Academy. As a football player he was active on the field playing big roles on both offense and defense. He began the police academy as the youngest person to ever enter from the Claiborne County area.
Kearney was part of Class 100 which was held from April 10 to June 10 in Greenville. He graduated June 10 on the campus of Walters State Community College in Morristown.
Kearney worked in the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office as a corrections officer for nearly a year before making the decision to move on to the police academy. He was joined at graduation by family and current Claiborne County officers.
