Judge Robert Estep dealt with several violations of probation cases recently during hearings in Claiborne County Sessions Court, including one for Aaron Bunch.
Bunch, 26, was initially charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings, to complete an alcohol and drug assessment and nonpayment of court costs and supervision fees while on probation. He was sentenced to an additional 11 months, 29 days supervised probation with 25 days confinement. Bunch was given credit for five days jail time already served. He was granted permission to serve the remainder of his confinement on ten consecutive weekends.
Curtislee Allen Carroll, 23, charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings, to complete an alcohol and drug assessment and nonpayment of court costs, fines and supervision fees while on probation, was sentenced to an additional 11 months, 29 days supervised probation with 20 days confinement. Carroll was ordered to serve the jail time during ten consecutive weekends. He must complete an alcohol and drug assessment within 30 days of his hearing date and provide proof of employment.
Kimberly Deaton, 51, charged with falsifying a drug screening while on probation, was sentenced to an additional 11 months, 29 days supervised probation with 15 days confinement. Deaton was given permission to serve the jail time during consecutive weekends.
Kelly Ann Rueker, 34, charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings, to follow recommendations from the alcohol and drug assessment and nonpayment of court costs, fines and supervision fees while on probation, was sentenced to an additional 11 months, 29 days supervised probation. Rueker must complete the alcohol and drug assessment class offered by ETHRA and is subject to frequent drug screenings. She is eligible for unsupervised probation once found fully compliant.
Jackie A. Riddle, 43, charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings, to complete an alcohol and drug assessment and nonpayment of court costs and supervision fees while on probation, was sentenced to an additional six months supervised probation with 18 days confinement. Riddle was given credit for 18 days jail time already served.
Tracy R. Venable, 44, charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings and nonpayment of court costs, fines and supervision fees while on probation, was sentenced to an additional six months supervised probation with five days confinement. Venable was given credit for five days jail time already served.
James C. Francois, 36, charged with nonpayment of court costs, fines and supervision fees while on probation, was sentenced to an additional six months supervised probation. As a condition of his probationary status, Francois must pay at least $545 toward costs, pass a drug screening and obtain employment. He is eligible for unsupervised probation once found fully compliant.
Ernest H. Johnson, 54, was initially charged with reckless endangerment, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license, violation of the financial responsibility law and nonpayment of court costs and fines while on probation. Johnson was ordered to remain on 11 months, 29 days supervised probation with 20 days confinement, to be served on ten consecutive weekends. This case runs concurrently with a criminal case in which Johnson was charged with driving on a revoked license (second offense) and violation of the financial responsibility law. He must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines. His driver’s license is revoked per the Dept. of Safety.
Christopher Justice, 38, charged with failure to report to probation, to submit to random drug screenings, to complete an alcohol and drug assessment and nonpayment of court costs, fines and supervision fees while on probation, was ordered to remain on 11 months, 29 days supervised probation with 13 days confinement. Justice was given credit for 13 days jail time already served.
Jennifer M. Daniels, 39, charged with failing a first drug screening for THC and nonpayment of court costs, fines and supervision fees while on probation, was ordered to remain on six months supervised probation with ten days confinement. Daniels was given credit for six days jail time already served. As a condition of her probationary status, Daniels was ordered to begin monthly payments of $250 on another case.
