Harp guilty of meth charge

A Claiborne County jury convicted Karen Elizabeth Harp in criminal court last week.

Harp was found guilty of facilitation of initiation of methamphetamine manufacturing. The case was investigated and prosecuted by Deputy Blake Laws of the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office and Detective Gary Ruszkowski of the New Tazewell Police Department. The State of Tennessee was represented by Assistant District Attorney Matthew McClung.

Harp is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 15 by Criminal Court Judge E. Shayne Sexton.
