Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) recently inducted 15 new members into the Tennessee Epsilon 82 chapter of Alpha Chi.
Alpha Chi is a coeducational academic honor society. Founded in 1922, with the purpose of promoting academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students, Alpha Chi honors those who achieve such distinction. Membership is limited to no more than 10 percent of the junior, senior and graduate classes.
Local inductees included:
Daphne Cannon of Harrogate, who is a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in management leadership studies and was nominated by William Ward, a faculty sponsor.
Rebecca Jones of Harrogate, who is a senior pursuing a philosophy and religion degree and was nominated by Dr. Robert Hubbard, a faculty sponsor.
Hannah Oakes of Tazewell, who is a senior pursuing a chemistry degree and was nominated by Dr. Steve Everly, a faculty sponsor.
Aprile Mason of New Tazewell, who is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree and was nominated by Dr. Benjamin Thompson, a faculty sponsor.
