Enrichment Federal Credit Union’s New Tazewell Branch was busy recently taking care of two different sectors of the Claiborne County community. It started when they delivered school supplies to TNT Primary School to make sure all students have the proper supplies to have a productive and educational school year. With the help of EFCU members and the community the credit union was able to deliver seven large boxes full of much-needed supplies to the school.
Credit Unions were founded on the philosophy of “People Helping People,” and this is just one small way that EFCU can reach out to our community and provide a small level of assistance. The employees at the New Tazewell Branch felt a need to help a school basically in their back yard.
“If we can provide one or two items to a child to ensure they have the proper supplies to assist in their education, then we have been able to help the future of our community in a positive manner,” said EFCU New Tazewell Branch Manager Dana Keaton.
The branch also reached out to the New Tazewell Police Department and took them each a Survival Kit to thank them for all they do for the community. The employees of the branch appreciate the dedication of the members of law enforcement and wanted to just give them a small token of appreciation and let them know how important they are in the community.
Enrichment Federal Credit Union, based in Oak Ridge, is one of the largest credit unions in Tennessee with over 41,200 members, nine area offices and assets of over $429 million.
