KNOXVILLE — Tennova Healthcare invites the community to attend a free seminar entitled “Colon Cancer: Don’t Take Chances” on Oct. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The lunch-and-learn event will be held at The Foundry, located at 747 World’s Fair Park Drive, Knoxville. Space is limited and registration is required.
The doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the event kicks off with a health expo, featuring information on the latest in cancer screenings and prevention, and how good habits can keep you healthy.
The seminar will feature a presentation from Steedman Sarbah, M.D., a gastroenterologist with the Tennova Digestive Disease Center. Dr. Sarbah will discuss the importance of screenings in detecting colon cancer at an early, often highly treatable stage. He will also provide information on preventing the disease, recent advances in early detection, and the latest treatment options available at Tennova Healthcare.
