Judge Shayne Sexton processed several plea agreements in Claiborne Criminal Court including one for Douglas Adam Vanover, 26, charged with aggravated robbery.
Vanover was sentenced to three years at 30 percent confinement and given credit for 177 days of jail time already served. He is barred from any contact with his victim.
Terry Lynn Mullins, 23, charged with one count each of aggravated burglary and evading arrest, was sentenced to a concurrent four years at 30 percent confinement. Mullins was given credit for 89 days jail time already served.
Daniel Matthew Edwards, 27, charged with one count each of aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000, was sentenced to a split confinement of four years TDOC supervised probation with one year confinement. Edwards was given credit for jail time served from Sept. 15 through Nov. 2. He must pay at least $150 per month in court costs beginning 30 days from his release from jail, unless otherwise specified during his restitution hearing set for Jan. 19.
He forfeits $150 to the Economic Crime Fund. Edwards is barred from any contact with his victims and must stay at least 1,000 ft. away from their properties.
Caleb Jesse Robbins, 20, charged with burglary and theft over $1,000, was sentenced to a split confinement of four years TDOC supervised probation with 138 days jail time. Robbins was given credit for 138 days of jail time already served. He must pay at least $200 per month toward court costs, restitution and other fines beginning one month after release from custody or from an inpatient treatment facility.
Robbins is jointly and severally liable for restitution to his victim in the amount of $1,000. His forfeiture to the Economic Crime Fund is set at $75. Robbins is barred from any contact with his victim and must stay at least 1,000 ft. away from his property.
This sentence runs concurrently with a prior one in which Robbins was charged with theft over $1,000, theft under $500 and possession of drug paraphernalia. In this second case, Robbins must make additional restitution to one of his victims in the amount of $300 and is fined $150. He also forfeits $375 to the Economic Crime Fund.
Robbins is barred from any contact with the victims in this case and must stay at least 1,000 ft. away from their properties.
Anthony Eldridge, 52, charged with attempted theft of property valued over $1,000, was sentenced to a split confinement of two years TDOC supervised probation with 17 days confinement. Eldridge was given credit for 17 days jail time already served. He must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and forfeits $75 to the Economic Crime Fund.
Jeffrey Nelson Eldridge, 56, charged under three separate cases with the sale and delivery of a schedule II controlled substance, was sentenced to a concurrent four years TDOC supervised probation. Count two in each case is nolle, which means the prosecutor decided not to pursue the charge of delivery of a schedule II controlled substance. Eldridge must pay at least $200 per month toward court costs, a $2,000 fine and a $1,000 contribution to the Eighth Judicial District Drug Task Force. Eldridge will appear on Jan. 19 for a judicial diversion hearing.
