Judge Robert Estep approved several plea agreements during recent hearings in Claiborne County Sessions Court, including one for Brandon Lee Taylor, 29, charged with domestic assault.
Taylor was granted a deferred judgment of one year and sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation. He was ordered to complete an anger management class. Taylor must pay at least $75 per month in court costs and fines. He is barred from any contact with his victim except through his divorce attorney.
Tanner Carroll, 19, charged with transporting a loaded firearm, was sentenced to six months at 75 percent confinement and ordered to pay all court costs and fines in full the day of his hearing. Estep ordered the firearm seized from Carroll to be returned to him within 30 days.
Jonathan D. Wilder, 29, charged with criminal impersonation and possession of drug paraphernalia, was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 20 days confinement. Wilder was given credit for four days jail time already served. He must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines beginning June 24. This case runs concurrently with a prior violation of probation case in which Wilder was charged with failure to submit to random drug screenings while on probation.
Johnny Creed Chadwell, 40, charged with criminal impersonation, possession of a schedule II drugs and drug paraphernalia, was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 15 days confinement. Chadwell was given credit for 15 days jail time already served. He must pay at least $150 per month in court costs and fines and forfeits $75 to the Economic Crime Fund.
Shelia Dummet, 49, charged with escape, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with ten days confinement. Dummet must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines beginning 30 days after release from jail.
Felicia L. Ford, 29, charged with criminal trespassing, was sentenced to 30 days confinement with credit for time served. Ford must pay $15 in restitution to the United Grocery Outlet and is formally on notice that she is permanently barred from entering any United Grocery Outlet store.
Krystal J. Sambito, 31, charged with driving under the influence (second offense) and violation of the financial responsibility law, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 45 days confinement. Sambito was given credit for 19 days jail time already served. She must pay at least $150 per month in court costs and fines and must attend the MADD Victim Impact Panel. She may transfer the balance of her jail time to an inpatient rehabilitation program, up to 28 days of her total sentence. Her driver’s license is revoked for two years.
Timothy S. Evans, 46, charged with two counts driving under the influence, was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with three days confinement. Evans was given credit for three days jail time already served. He must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines beginning on June 24. Evans must attend the MADD Victim Impact Panel. His driver’s license is revoked per the Dept. of Safety. Evans is eligible for unsupervised probation once all monetary obligations are met and he is found fully compliant.
Jennifer Lynn Hamblin, 40, charged with driving under the influence, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with two days confinement. Hamblin was given credit for four hours of jail time already served. She must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines beginning on June 23. Hamblin must attend the MADD Victim Impact Panel. Her driver’s license is revoked for one year.
Roger Warren Rose, 38, charged with driving under the influence, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with two days confinement. Rose was given credit for any jail time previously served. He must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines beginning on June 23 and must attend the MADD Victim Impact Panel. His driver’s license is revoked for one year.
Kristie L. McNew, 30, charged with driving under the influence, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with two days confinement. McNew was given credit for any jail time already served. She must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines beginning on June 21 and must attend the MADD Victim Impact Panel. McNew is eligible for unsupervised probation once found fully compliant. Her driver’s license is revoked for one year.
Chelci Renee Johnson, 26, charged with reckless driving, was sentenced to six months ETHRA supervised probation with two days confinement. Johnson must pay at least $150 per month in court costs and fines. She must attend the MADD Victim Impact Panel.
Jessica Howard, 32, charged with violation of the child restraint device law and driving on a revoked license, was sentenced to six months unsupervised probation with nine days confinement. Howard was given credit for nine days jail time already served. As a condition of her probationary status, Howard must pay all court costs and fines in full by her probation hearing on Sept. 8. Her driver’s license is revoked per the Dept. of Safety.
Jeffery Martin Painter, 34, charged with resisting arrest and possession of a schedule VI drugs, was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 20 days confinement. Painter was given credit for eight days jail time already served. He must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines beginning on June 24.
