Bulldogs Bulletin

The Claiborne High golf teams had a big week at their district tournaments last Monday with the boy’s team placing third in the district, which qualified them for a spot in the regional tournaments. Sydney Payne and Abby Ferguson also qualified as individuals for the regional tournament, which was held at Woodlake Golf Club on Monday. We are proud of our golfers!

This week at CHS is college application week. Tuesday the seniors went to LMU for a college fair. Parents, seniors also need to be getting their college applications turned in and are encouraged to do so by Oct. 1. If a senior is a member of Talent Search they can talk to Alicia Daniels about getting an application fee waiver.

Homecoming week is coming upon Claiborne High quickly. The themes for the week will be: ‘Merica Monday, Throwback Tuesday, What Do You Want To Be Wednesday and Not-Twinning Thursday. There will also be a special surprise on Wednesday of Homecoming week for both parents and students, to be announced at a later date.

This past Friday night the Bulldogs football team took on Grainger County at Grainger and suffered a defeat with a final score of 16-64. We would like to encourage the community to come out this Friday to Claiborne High to watch the ‘Dogs take on Johnson County.
